A little Solstice history from Dr. Suzy: "Xmas wasn't the first celebration of a December miracle. Winter Solstice or "Sun Birthday" was—and is—when the sun, after being at its lowest, is "born again," as the days begin to get longer. Sex is a vital part of any Winter Solstice celebration worth its egg nog.  To honor the icy season, our polytheistic forbearers would feast and fornicate for days of nonstop bacchanalian orgies that would make Bonnie Rotten pee in her g-string. Over 2000 years before Christianity, Mesopotamia’s Winter Carnaval was a kind of "SeXmas," featuring mummers-style parades with floats carrying scenes of sex among the gods. The Greek Winter Festival honored another populist Son of God with a human mother, who worked miracles, brought forth wine, and was resurrected after death; His name was Dionysus. Block, Ph.D., a.k.a., “Dr. Suzy,” internationally renowned sexologist and best-selling author of The Bonobo Way: The Evolution of Peace through Pleasure (Gardner & Daughters Publishers), will present “The Bonobo Way: An Alternative Great Ape Paradigm for Human Sexuality” at the 48^th Annual Conference of The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists (AASECT), to be held June 8-12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“I look forward to sharing this very special portion of the ‘Bonobo Sutra’ with my fellow sex educators and therapists,” says Dr. Block who has been presenting various aspects of the Bonobo Way, locally and abroad, at different academic and lifestyle conferences over the past few months, including the keynote address to the world’s first “ecosexuality” symposium in an academic institution, convened at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez by UPRM Humanities Professor SerenaGaia Anderlini D'Onofrio.
